Arizona Enforceable Heat Standard Petition

Letter Carriers know first hand the dangers of the Arizona heat. Yet we still lack legal, enforceable protections guaranteeing water, shade, and rest for workers in our state.

The Arizona State Association of Letter Carriers is supporting this petition brought forth by the Arizona Heat Standards Coalition: demanding heat standard protections for every worker. Governor Hobbs’ Workplace Heat Safety Task Force is debating this right now, and they need to hear from us that we need enforceable standards that every employer has to follow, not voluntary guidelines or suggestions.
